She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on the 9th of July, 1983. Her career began in real estate after graduating from high school. This is where she got to know Tarek El-Moussa, her future husband. After the 2008 crash of the stock exchange, the real estate market was hit hard by investors and those who were home flippers were unable to make their profits. Tarek El Moussa, and Christina El Moussa, lost the majority of their assets as a result of the 2008 stock market crash. They went from living in the cost of a house that was $6,000 per month, to an apartment which cost 700 dollars per month. The business and the overall economy, grew gradually. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted the help of a friend to make an audition tape which would later be utilized in the production of HGTV. This tape featured Tarek and Christina flipping a property from start to completion. Pie Town Productions executive received the tape. They fell in love with Tarek Christina. They signed an official contract with HGTV in the year 2012. "Flip of Flop" began its premiere in April of 2013. Between 2013 and 2017, the show aired 92 episodes over 7 seasons. Christina and Tarek bought houses located in Orange County that were usually homes with a middle-income. They spent the next weeks renovating the property so they could turn it for a profit. Tarek concentrates on removal and remodeling and renovations, while Christina focuses more on the style. Christina makes sure that everything runs on schedule.

Flip of Flop was launched in the month of April 2013. The show aired 92 seasons between 2013 and 2017. Christina and Tarek purchased properties, typically houses with a moderate income in Orange County. After spending some time renovating the home the couple would then sell it to make a return. Tarek's primary focus is deconstruction and renovating, whereas Christina prefers design. Christina also ensures that everything is completed on time.
